It's the last day of the February Hearts and Bunnies Blog Hop and I created my own version of a shabby chic card.  I grabbed the heart from Polka Dot Country and the chicken wire background and ribbon stamp from Chicken Wire.  My sentiment came from the Forever Together mini stamp set.  I distressed edges a bit and sponged a bit and colored a little bit too.  I hope you enjoy it!

For today, I have shifted to hearts.  This cupcake is just the right size for a card and I was surprised to find that the hearts were on it.  I punched out a bunch of hearts and decorated my card base and the cupcake frosting.  I added a teeny bit of glitter to that yummy purple frosting. Purple is one of my favorite colors and I really love how it looks when it is paired with red.

Happy Wednesday!  Today the featured tutorial is a basket tutorial by Vickie.   It's a clear, simple tutorial that you could do many things with.  I used a stamp set called Spring Things to dress up my basket.  I stamped and trimmed out my fence for the front of the basket.  Then I stamped and colored my bunny and gave him an embossed sentiment banner.  I dressed up my basket handle with some ric-rac because it brings back memories of Easter gone by!

I'm excited for this month's hop as MFP Stamp Shop has some wonderful bunny and heart stamps.  I couldn't help but reach for Garden Bunny first!  He is adorable in his straw hat and overalls.  For today's card, I drew inspiration from one of my co-workers shirts.  I was drawn to the pattern of the fabric of his shirt.  Only today, I made the connection between the shirt and some patterned paper in my stash.

Let's get started !!  Here's the Design Team: BonnieGail,  KarenKrenLoisMariLynnPatPamSandy ,

February "More Than One Score" Challenge

Hello Crafty Friends!  It's February 1st and time with another Scor-Pal More Than One Score challenge.  Our theme for this month is "Pink or Blue".  I opted for some blue this time. Today, I have made a mini favor box*.  It's just right for baby shower favors and can fit a little treat inside.  Let's get started!
For this project, you will need:

  • Scor-Pal
  • Scor-Tape
  • One 4 1/2" x 7 1/2" piece of card stock
  • Paper snips
  • Corner Rounder
  • Mini clothespins
  • Additional card stock for embellishments
  • Additional designer paper for embellishments
  • Square punches
  • Star punches
  • Stamps
  • Ink
  • Dimensional adhesive
Place the 4 1/2" by 7 1/2" piece of card stock in your Scor-Pal with the long side against the top fence.  Score at 1 1/2", 3", 4 1/2" and 6 ".
With the 4 1/2" side of the card stock against the top fence, score at 1 1/2" and 3".
Burnish all the folds.
Trim out the corners as shown.
At the opposite end, trim tabs to first 1 1/2" score.
Turn card stock once to the left and cut to the 1 1/2" score line on the first and second folds. Make cuts on both top and bottom.
Round corners on center tabs at both ends.
Adhere Scor-Tape to the first and third tabs on both top and bottom.
Pull the two center tabs up, remove adhesive backing and adhere flaps one at a time to center tabs.
Fold down top and bottom square tabs.
Pinch together the rounded tabs and secure.
Embellish as desired.
This concludes my tutorial for the February 2016 More Than One Score Challenge.
