Today is the last day of the hop and I hope you have enjoyed it. You have a few more hours to work on the tutorials and show us what you made.  Links will be open until 3pm CT today.  Don't forget to be comment! Check back on October 1st to see if you are a winner!!

I found a trio of Halloween friends to make an appearance on this card.  I did a bit of quick stamping and coloring, found a cool sketch and some great paper to use on my card.  I think you could definitely see these three when you are out an about on Halloween.  Beware because they are SPOOKY!

I hope you enjoyed the hop today. Be sure to come back each day to be inspired! Get to work on the tutorials and show us what you made by September 30th, 3pm CT and don't forget to be commenting! Come back on October 1st to see if you are a winner!!

I used the above featured set to crank out this fun Halloween card!  My Halloween designer papers just don't get enough use.  I was happy to pull them out and feature them as well.  I chose a fairly simple design and let my stamps and paper do the work.

Enjoy the rest of the hop. Be sure to come back each day to be inspired! Get to work on the tutorials and show us what you made by September 30th, 3pm CT and don't forget to be commenting! Come back on October 1st to see if you are a winner!!

MFP Stamps Challenge 39

Good morning!  I'm sorry for the late post this morning.  Saturday has arrived and brought with it another MFP Stamps challenge.  This week the challenge is a color challenge.

Pink is the color of choice and I opted for a Christmas card.   I like to make both traditional and non-traditional Christmas cards so this was fun!  I mocked up my card to look like an old school Polaroid picture.  Who remembers shaking those babies?

Let's not forget that there are several of ways to win with the MFP Stamps challenge.  Be sure to check out the blog for rules and guidelines.  Link up your project HERE, so we can see your amazing work.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend.

Details - Stamps: Holly Jolly Greetings(MFP): Paper: Whisper White, Regal Rose; Ink: Tuxedo Black: Accessories: Copic Markers, Spellbinders Nestabilities squares, PTI tin type impression plate, corner chomper, silver cording.

MFP Stamps Challenge 38

It's that time again.  It's Saturday and time for another MFP Stamps challenge.  This week the challenge is an inspiration challenge with a couple of photos to work from.
I'm sure that it is abundantly clear from which photo I drew my inspiration.  I just couldn't resist when we have such a great sports themed stamp set.  I stamped, colored and fussy-cut the footballs and baseballs. Then I pieced together a couple portions of two sentiments to make my greeting here.

Let's not forget that there are several of ways to win with the MFP Stamps challenge.  Be sure to check out the blog for rules and guidelines.  Link up your project HERE, so we can see your amazing work.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend.

MFP Stamps Challenge 37

Hey again!  It's Saturday and time for a new MFP Stamps Challenge.  This week the challenge revolves around a technique called the Twine Wrapped Block.  I just grabbed one of my acrylic blocks and adhered a short piece of Scor-Tape.  I removed the adhesive backing and then wrapped my twine around it.  I used an emboss resist technique to make my main panel.

I die cut my panel, backed it with a slightly smaller oval and then another panel with the stamped sentiment.  I stamped my crane, colored it, trimmed it and then adhered it to the main panel.  A few rhinestones and some stampin' dimensionals finish off the card.

There are multiple ways to win with the MFP Stamps Challenge.  Be sure to check out the blog for rules and guidelines.  Link up your project HERE, so we can see your amazing work.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend.

Details - Stamps: Birds of the Orient (MFP); Paper: Whisper White, Black Licorice (MFT); Ink: Versamark, Pool Party, Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango, Tuxedo Black; Accessories: Stamping block, Scor-tape, twine, heat tool, clear embossing powder, paper snips, Copic Markers, Touch Twin Markers, Spellbinders Nestabilities, stampin' sponges, Recollections rhinestones, stampin' dimensionals.

Using Hexagons

Today's Ways to Use It challenge on Splitcoaststampers is all about using hexagons!  I'm not today's hostess, but Sabrina is.  Be sure to check out all of the amazing cards that have been made with hexagons.

For my card, I stamped the hexagon background first and then sponged the edges of the background.  I hit it with a sentiment and then stamped my butterflies.  I used a technique called thumping.  After inking up the butterflies, I used a darker blue to tap or thump along the edges of the wings.   I matted my focal panel and then laid it against the vanilla card base.  It looked a little too clean, so I sponged the edges of the base too.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Details - Stamps: Honeycomb (Flourishes), Artist in You (Unity), Dandelion Dreams (Skipping Stones Designs); Paper: Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip; Ink: Creamy Caramel, Chocolate Chip, Pool Party, Island Indigo; Accessories: sponge dauber, stampin' dimensionals.

MFP Stamps Challenge 36

Hi there!  I'll back with another challenge from the MFP Stamp Challenge Team. This week's challenge is to make a CAS birthday card.  This was an easy-peasy card for me today.  CAS just happens to be my favorite style to work in and today is my birthday!  So, I made myself a birthday card.
What's a girl to do really?  I used one of my favorite sketches and my favorite color.  I like it.  How about you?

There are multiple ways to win with the MFP Stamp Challenge.    Be sure to check out the blog for rules and guidelines.  Link up your project HERE, so we can see your amazing work!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend.

Using The Word Hello

The Ways To Use It challenge for this week is about the word Hello.  Today's hostess is Lisa, or Shoegirl as she is known on Splitcoaststampers.  My first idea about using the word hello had to do with resisting some spray ink with some die cut letters.  It just didn't turn out like I wanted it to, so I scrapped it.  This is my second try and I like it much better.  My sentiment panel is a bit off white, so I used my baby brayer to ink up my embossed design on my card base.  I wanted to bring that off white into the card again.

That's all for me today.  Thanks for stopping by!

Details - Stamps: Whimsical Alphabet Upper (SU), Making A Statement (Verve); Paper: Tempting Turquoise, Smoky Slate, Bazzill Coconut Swirl; Ink: Smoky Slate, London Fog, Poppy Parade, Peach Parfait, Tempting Turquoise, Regal Rose, Pear Tart, Very Vanilla Craft; Accessories: Copic Markers, Baby Brayer, Spellbinders Classic Long Scalloped rectangle, Square Lattice embossing folder, stampin' dimensionals.

September "More Than One Score" Challenge

Hello Crafty Friends!  It's September 1st and time for another Scor-Pal More Than One Score challenge. Our theme for this month is cards, cards and more cards.  This is another challenge that worked perfectly for me.  My daughter starts back to school next week and so I made her a box of note cards to give to her teacher.  This year and next year, her teachers are men so I will be practicing up on my masculine cards. Stay on the lookout.

Here is this month's project.  It is a flip top box with a belly band to hold cards and envelopes inside.
Now you can see it open with all the cards outside of the box and the belly band sitting in front of the flip top box.
Be sure to check out the tutorial by this week's hostess, Lois, on the Scor-pal blog.  Thanks for stopping by!

Details - Stamps: Thank You Kindly (SU); Paper: Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Black Licorice, Authentique Natural dp; Ink: Tuxedo Black; Accessories: Scor-Pal, Scor-Tape, Authentique Natural stickers, Spellbinders Nestabilities, circle punch, stampin' dimensionals.
